Training Series

As the first session of this year’s MIT-CHIEF’s Disciplined Entrepreneurship Training Series, this workshop will provide you insights on how to commercialize your technology, how to start to use patent data at the beginning of the process to determine where the first market would be for a technology, who are the players and whether they are potential partners, competitors, funders or acquirers.

Each of the training workshops will be led by a long-time practicing entrepreneur. This very first one is led by Joseph G. Hadzima.

New on-site program will connect MIT startup teams with advanced manufacturing resources in China’s Pearl River Delta area.

Co-founder’s Journey

The student-run MIT-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF) announced its collaboration with the MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node to launch a new program, Co-founder’s Journey, on May 7. This new program builds upon MIT’s motto, “mens et manus” (“mind and hand”) and aims at providing early-stage startups at MIT with unique opportunities to dive into the innovation ecosystems in Hong Kong and the neighboring Pearl River Delta, especially to access manufacturing resources.

Discovering Possibilities

Tech SHow

MIT-CHIEF Tech-Show is a science fair co-hosted by MIT-CHIEF and MIT Hong Kong Innovation Node. The Tech-Show is aimed to showcase cutting-edge high-tech products and introduce scientific achievements that have great commercialization potentials from MIT innovation labs. This event will include products from industries such as artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech and biotech. We believe that this tech-show will provide investors and established companies with cutting-edge innovations and potential unicorns at early stages. For MIT labs, potential funding can be supplied and the application of science results can be accelerated by industry resources and market capital. Additionally, technologies with great market potential will be invited to join MIT-CHIEF Co-Founder’s Journey and China Trip, where teams can establish and expand their ventures in China through MIT-CHIEF’s connections to established manufacturers in Pearl River Delta area and Chinese capital and government venture resources in major cities.
